Joe Biden has demonstrably been a serial liar so the current flap is reminiscent of the past

Joe Biden's claim that he chastised President Bush in private meetings ( two ) has been denied by White House staff and seems impossible based on the records of meetings. Biden has reasserted his claim but has provided no details or evidence.

One cannot help but note Biden's blatant plagiarism of a Neil Kinnock speech in which he additionally and falsely appropriated details of Kinnock's actual life as his own. It was sufficiently bizarre that it derailed his 1988 Presidential campaign. Investigation revealed that Biden had also come close to being expelled from law school, also for plagiarism. It seemed a character flaw rather than happenstance.

Any observer of Biden over the years can readily note that he is at least an exaggerator. The record indicates that he has also been a liar of the most egregious and seemingly un-self-aware sort. His credibility with respect to this alleged incident is nil.

Clearly, Biden's nomination as Vice President was Obama's insurance against assassination. Even the President's greatest critics would hardly prefer Biden to lead the United States.
