The Sestak story smells enough to require a grand jury

http://tinyurl.com/33ma8ph
****The Sestak story ( that the White House offered him something of value to quit the Senate primary race ), repeated by Sestak many times until yesterday, is at variance with both the long-continued stonewalling of the subject by Press Secretary Gibbs and the diversionary remark by President Obama that his administration would issue a formal explanation "shortly" and the formal explanation itself, issued during the usual news blackout of the runup to the Memorial Day Weekend.
FoxNews, however, didn't go on vacation as expected and convened a special broadcast to analyze and to keep the issue alive through the weekend.
The WH counsel's story, as of yesterday, is that Rahm Emanuel asked President Clinton to approach Rep. Sestak with an offer of an "unpaid advisory position on some panel or other", which he could keep while staying a Representative, if he would quit the primary race against Senator Specter. Clinton was called to the White House before the "report" was issued and Rep. Sestak's brother (and campaign manager) was called on his cellphone before, as well. One might, cynically, presume that these were efforts to coordinate stories.
Sestake had, at the time of the first putative approach, already campaigned throughout Pennsylvania, a large state, was an obvious and qualified candidate for the Senate, and would --one would think--require more incentive than an unpaid part-time post as a member of some advisory panel, to quit a Senate race to which he had already devoted considerable time and resources. If, indeed, that was all he was offered, his even mentioning the matter several times would seem to be a blot on his character, claiming far more than actually happened. Moreoever, he had conceded it was a "job" and indicated it was at a "high level." All his mentions are at variance with the modest "offer" described as having been communicated by President Clinton, as well as with the necessity to ring in an ex-President to make the offer.
The lawyer's "report" mentions several communications ( plural ) and one might reasonably expect that this very modest offer was, even if accurately described, a "first offer." The report is ambiguous as to whether there were other offers. it being reasonable to think that Sestak was referring to another (or other) offer(s.)
Even so, it would seem that the admitted offer, however modest, still violated perhaps three Federal Laws including the Hatch Act since it was an "offer, direct or indirect of something of value" to influence a Federal election ( which is, nevertheless, controlled by the states.)
Clinton, being queried about this subsequent to the report and his visit to the White House, brushed off questions. Sestak ambiguously verified the story without gainsaying that there was more. Holder's Justice Department will clearly not convene an investigation requiring the parties to testify under oath ( no one will really fall on his sword and go to jail to protect the President -- whose loyalty-lack himself is well-known-- if it means perjury and possibly going to prison.)It is, therefore, important either for public opinion to force the matter or for one of the AGs of the states involved ( Pennsylvania or Virginia ) to investigate further.
The story just doesn't make sense and it smells of coverup of a very clumsy and stupid sort. If the American public lets these guys get away with this ( and it was replicated in Colorado and in Illinois, where Blagojivich is set to go to trial ), the electorate deserves what it got and is getting in Barack Obama and the thugs from Chicago.****

Obama speaks pap and crap about Daniel Pearl

http://tinyurl.com/29vfpmx
Obama owed it to Daniel Pearl to speak the truth; Couldn't he have at least done that? By Mark Steyn
Barack Obama's remarkable powers of oratory are well known: In support of Chicago's Olympic bid, he flew into Copenhagen to give a heartwarming speech about himself, and they gave the games to Rio. He flew into Boston to support Martha Coakley's bid for the U.S. Senate, and Massachusetts voters gave Ted Kennedy's seat to a Republican. In the first year of his presidency, he gave a gazillion speeches on health care "reform" and drove support for his proposals to basement level, leaving Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to ram it down the throats of the American people through sheer parliamentary muscle.
Like a lot of guys who've been told they're brilliant one time too often, President Obama gets a little lazy, and doesn't always choose his words with care. And so it was that he came to say a few words about Daniel Pearl, upon signing the "Daniel Pearl Press Freedom Act." Pearl was decapitated on video by jihadist Muslims in Karachi on Feb. 1, 2002. That's how I'd put it. This is what the president of the United States said: "Obviously, the loss of Daniel Pearl was one of those moments that captured the world's imagination because it reminded us of how valuable a free press is." ...Obama's off the prompter, when his silver-tongued rhetoric invariably turns to sludge. But he's talking about a dead man here, a guy murdered in public for all the world to see. Furthermore, the deceased's family is standing all around him. And, even for a busy president, it's the work of moments to come up with a sentence that would be respectful, moving and true. Indeed, for Obama, it's the work of seconds, because he has a taxpayer-funded staff sitting around all day with nothing to do but provide him with that sentence.
Instead, he delivered the one above, which in its clumsiness and insipidness is most revealing. First of all, note the passivity: "The loss of Daniel Pearl." He wasn't "lost." He was kidnapped and beheaded. He was murdered on a snuff video. He was specifically targeted, seized as a trophy, a high-value scalp. And the circumstances of his "loss" merit some vigor in the prose. Yet Obama can muster none...his "loss" "reminded us of how valuable a free press is." It was nothing to do with "freedom of the press." ...The man convicted of Pearl's murder was Omar Sheikh, a British subject, a London School of Economics student, and, like many jihadists from Osama to the Pantybomber, a monument to the peculiar burdens of a non-deprived childhood in the Muslim world. The man who actually did the deed was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who confessed in March 2007: "I decapitated with my blessed right hand the head of the American Jew Daniel Pearl, in the city of Karachi." But Obama's not the kind to take "guilty" for an answer, so he's arranging a hugely expensive trial for KSM amid the bright lights of Broadway...Daniel Pearl was the prototype for a new kind of terror. In his wake came other victims from...to Fabrizzio Quattrocchi, who yanked off his hood, yelled "I will show you how an Italian dies!" and ruined the movie for his jihadist videographers. ... Daniel Pearl was the first, and in his calm, coherent final words understood why he was there: "My name is Daniel Pearl. I am a Jewish American from Encino, California, USA …" He didn't have a prompter. But he spoke the truth. That's all President Obama owed him — to do the same.
I mentioned last week the attorney general's peculiar insistence that "radical Islam" was nothing to do with the Times Square bomber, the Pantybomber, the Fort Hood killer. Just a lot of moments "capturing the world's imagination." For now, the jihadists seem to have ceased cutting our heads off. Listening to Obama and Eric Holder, perhaps they've figured out there's nothing much up there anyway.

James Hansen – the world’s leading climate scientist fighting against global warming – told Amy Goodman this morning that cap and trade not only won’t reduce emissions, it may actually increase them:
The problem is that the emissions just go someplace else. That’s what happened after Kyoto, and that’s what would happen again, if—as long as fossil fuels are the cheapest energy, they will be burned someplace. You know, the Europeans thought they actually reduced their emissions after Kyoto, but what happened was the products that had been made in their countries began to be made in other countries, which were burning the cheapest form of fossil fuel, so the total emissions actually increased…..

The Muslim world thinks Obama is one of them; whether he is or not he acts the part.

Arab Media Cheer Obama for De-Linking Muslims from Terror by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu
A leading international Arab newspaper has hailed U.S. President Barack Obama for officially removing the description “Muslim terrorist” as part of his campaign “to reach out to the Muslim world.” The op-ed did not note the radical Muslim bacgkround of the terrorists and reasoned they are equal to other terrorists whose religion is not connected with their acts.
Osman Mirghani, the deputy editor-in-chief of 'Al-Sharq Al-Awsat,' which is owned by a Saudi Arabian company and published in London, wrote an op-ed last week under the headline "Why Didn't Obama Mention Islam?." The Obama administration has broken from the Bush government’s policy of using the term “Islamic terrorism” in official documents and "no longer [is] responding to extremist voices" that call for targeting home countries of terrorists, he explained.
He said the president is carrying out his pledge in his “reaching out to Muslims speech” at Cairo University in June 2008. Regarding Obama's statements on the botched Times Square bombing, the editor praised President Obama for not once referring to prime suspect Faisal Shahzad’s being Muslim and for not “mentioning Islam in discussing the terrorist operation."
The same approach was taken after the failed Christmas Day bombing by Nigerian Muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmuttalib. “Obama spoke about the detained terrorist as a member of the Al-Qaeda organization but he did not speak about him being a Muslim,’ Mirghani wrote. “Even when he spoke about Al-Qaeda, Obama noted that it was not the first time that the network had targeted America, ignoring the links that were made in the past between the organization and Islam or when it was put in the context of 'Islamic extremism.'"
Similarly, after the Fort Hood, Texas attack by a Muslim terrorist who murdered 13 people last November, “President Obama 'cautioned against jumping to conclusions’” and did not refer to the terrorist's Arab origin or religion.
The article did not mention that most, if not all, Arab terrorists are indoctrinated by Muslim extremism. Instead, the editor argued that describing terrorists as Muslims actually provokes more terror. “There is recognition today of the fact that terrorists are benefiting from the creation of an anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim atmosphere after any terrorist operation, and that issuing statements or taking steps that target Muslims employed by extremist groups further spreads hostility against the U.S., the West, and even moderate Islamic states,” he reasoned.
The writer argued that “the identity of the terrorist does not necessarily implicate the country he belongs to, in the same way that other adherents of the religion the terrorist follows should not be condemned."
He accused former President George W. Bush of being “captive to the Big Stick policy and slogans of 'you're either with us or against us,' which caused the popularity of the U.S. to wane, not only in the Islamic world but in numerous countries around the world." In contrast, he continued, “The new president has extended his hand to the Islamic world,… and the tendency to link every terrorist operation to the religion of the perpetrator has disappeared.”

Obama's "solicitude" toward Islam, really inexplicable??

EDITORIAL: Obama's invisible Islam
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
During questioning before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, a visibly nervous Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. tried valiantly not to utter the expression "radical Islam." The twisting began when Rep. Lamar Smith, Texas Republican, asked whether the men behind three recent terrorist incidents - the Fort Hood massacre, the Christmas Day bombing attempt and the Time Square bombing attempt - "might have been incited to take the actions that they did because of radical Islam."
Mr. Holder said there are a "variety of reasons" why people commit terror attacks. That can be true, but in these cases there was one reason: radical Islam. The attorney general said you have to look at each case individually. That's fine, but when that is done, one comes face to face with radical Islam every time. He said that of the variety of reasons people might commit terror, "some of them are potentially religious." Yes, like radical Islam. When pressed, what Mr. Holder would finally allow is, "I certainly think that it's possible that people who espouse a radical version of Islam have had an ability to have an impact on people like [Times Square bomber Faisal] Shahzad."
Mr. Holder mentioned Anwar al-Awlaki, the U.S.-born radical cleric now holed up in Yemen who has been mentioned in connection with all three attacks. Mr. Holder said that Mr. al-Awlaki "has a version of Islam that is not consistent with the teachings of [the faith]." Mr. Holder did not go into details to back up his assertion that Mr. al-Awlaki, an Islamic scholar, is somehow at odds with his own faith, nor did he pinpoint exactly what Muslim teachings he was referring to.

The Obama administration seems to have issued an internal gag order that forbids any official statements that might cast even the most extreme interpretations of the Islamic religion in a negative light. The "force protection review" of the Fort Hood massacre omitted any mention of shooter Nidal Malik Hasan's openly radical Islamic worldview or the fact that he made the jihadist war cry "Allahu Akbar!" before opening fire. Initially, the Obama administration refused to even call the massacre an act of terrorism, much less radical Islamic terrorism.

Last year, the Department of Homeland Security Domestic Extremist Lexicon, which was pulled out of circulation in the wake of controversy with other department publications, listed Jewish extremism and various forms of Christian extremism as threats but made no mention of any form of Muslim extremism. The Feb. 1, 2010 Quadrennial Homeland Security Review discusses terrorism and violent extremism but does not mention radical Islam as a motivator, or in any context. The 2010 Quadrennial Defense Review likewise avoids any terminology related to Islam.

The Obama administration may not like to think of being at war with radical Islam, but the jihadists are definitely at war with the United States. Rather than running from the expression "radical Islam," the administration should be openly discussing the ideological motives of the terrorists and finding ways to delegitimize them. Instead of hedging, obfuscating and ignoring, these Democrats should confront the challenge frankly, openly and honestly. Pretending that a radical, violent strain of Islam does not exist will not make it go away. To the contrary, it will make the situation much worse.
President Obama's continuing solicitude toward the faith of Muhammad is inexplicable, and as these acts of denial continue, it is becoming dangerous. The United States will not defeat an enemy it is afraid to identify.

British Bias Conspiracy

Guess Who 'Enjoys' US-Israeli Tensions
Who is having an "unusual and enjoyable new experience" watching the US-Israel spat?
Q: Who said the following?
It has been an unusual and enjoyable new experience to be able to look on as the Israelis argued with their most important ally. The fact that the dispute is over Jewish settlements is even better for the Palestinian.
1. Khaled Meshaal (Hamas leader)
2. Hasan Nasrallah (Hezbollah chief)
3. Jeremy Bowen (BBC Mideast Editor)
4. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (Iranian President)
5. George Galloway (extremist former UK politician)
The answer may (or may not) surprise you. The person who gets such satisfaction from US-Israeli tensions is none other than Jeremy Bowen. However, after our colleagues at Just Journalism also spotted this, the BBC story was amended to the following:
span style="font-style:italic;"> It has been an unusual and enjoyable new experience for Palestinians to be able to look on as Israel argued with its most important ally. The fact that the dispute is over Jewish settlements has been even better for them.
According to Just Journalism:Jeremy Bowen responded to our report via email, saying that there was a 'glitch in [his] editing process' and that when calling a chill in U.S.-Israeli relations 'enjoyable' he had meant to attribute this view to the Palestinians. The article was subsequently amended on the BBC News website but no acknowledgement of an error was made.
Indeed, normally when an online article is amended, corrected or updated, the BBC's website shows a time stamp. The offending article, in this case, still shows Sunday 9 May as the last time that the page was updated despite the fact that we know from Bowen himself that his faux pas was removed days after that.
Perhaps it's no surprise that the BBC is attempting to cover its tracks and Bowen is blaming a "glitch". Is it the same "glitch" that caused the BBC to publish 51 stories in the first three months of the year that reflected poorly on Israel, while publishing just two during the same period that reflected poorly on the Palestinians? We don't call that a "glitch" - we call it bias.
After all, the appointment of Bowen as Mideast Editor was meant to offer a solution to the BBC's problematic coverage. Instead, as we have repeatedly stated, Bowen has, himself, become a major part of the problem and certainly not the solution.
The subject of numerous HonestReporting critiques over the years, Bowen was even found guilty of inaccuracy on Israel by the BBC itself. So, having started with a question, we conclude with this:
Why will the BBC still not remove Jeremy Bowen from his position as Mideast Editor?

GLENN: I just took that as a — I just took that as a slam and making somebody who is —
PAT: I did, too, but then I looked at his website, at David Horowitz's, and he's got a bunch of people in Muslim garb who are parading around the campus with God Bless Hitler on a sign and so —
...VOICE: If you could clarify the connection between the MSA and jihad terrorist networks.
HOROWITZ: Will you condemn Hamas here and now?
VOICE: I'm sorry. What?
HOROWITZ: Will you condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization, genocidal organization?
VOICE: Are you asking me to put myself on a cross?
HOROWITZ: So you won't? I actually have had this experience many times. You didn't read the pamphlet because the pamphlet gives chapter and verse. The main connection is that the MSA is part of the Muslim Brotherhood Network as revealed in the documents.
VOICE: I don't think you understood what I meant by that. I meant if I say something, I'm sure that I will be arrested for reasons of Homeland Security. So if you could please just answer my question.
HOROWITZ: If you condemn Hamas Homeland Security will arrest you?
VOICE: If I support Hamas. Because your question forces me to condemn Hamas. If I support Hamas I look really bad.
HOROWITZ: Well, if you don't condemn Hamas obviously you support it. Case closed.
...HOROWITZ: Members of the Muslim Students Association sitting right in a rows there and throughout my hour talk I kept asking them, will you condemn Hezbollah and Hamas and none of them would. And then when the question period came, the president of the Muslim Students Association was the first person to ask questions and I said, you know, before you start, will you condemn Hezbollah. And he said, well, that question is too complicated for a yes/no answer. So I said, okay, I'll put it to you this way. I'm a Jew. What Soros Wanted, Obama Delivers By Kyle-Anne Shiver American Thinker****Obama as Soros' sock puppet.****
Subj: Who Is George Soros? This is a necessary read. He brought the market down in 2 days. Here is what (CBS') Mr. (Steve) Kroft's research has turned up. Bit of a read, but it took 4 months to put it together.
"The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States ." George Soros
"George Soros is an evil man. He's anti-God, anti-family, anti-American, and anti-good." He killed and robbed his own Jewish people.
If George Soros isn't the world's preeminent "malignant messianic narcissist," he'll do until Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot are reincarnatWhat we have in Soros, is a multi-billionaire atheist, with skewed moral values, and a sociopath's lack ofonscience. He considers himself to be an elitist world class philosopher, despises the American Way and just loves to do social engineering (change cultures).
György Schwartz, better known to the world as George Soros, was born August 12, 1930 in Hungary . Soros' father, Tivadar, was a fervent practitioner of the Esperantoa language invented in 1887, and designed to be the first global language, free of any national identity.
The Schwartzes, who were non-practicing Jews, changed the family name to Soros, in order to facilitate assimilation into the gentile population, as the Nazis spread into Hungary during the 1930s.
When Hitler's henchman Adolf Eichmann arrived in Hungary , to oversee the murder of that country's Jews, George Soros ended up with a man whose job was confiscating property from the Jewish population. Soros went with him on his rounds.
Soros has repeatedly called 1944 "the best year of his life."
"70% of Mr. Soros's fellow Jews in Hungary , nearly a half-million human beings, were annihilated in that year, yet he gives no sign that this put any damper on his elation, either at the time or indeed in retrospect.During an interview with "Sixty Minute's" Steve Kroft, Soros was asked about his "best year:"
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.
SOROS: Yes. Yes.
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from your fellow Jews, friends and neighbors.
SOROS: Yes. That's right. Yes.
KROFT: I mean, that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
SOROS: Not, not at all. Not at all, I rather enjoyed it.
KROFT: No feeling of guilt?
SOROS: No, only feelings of absolute power.
In his article, Muravchik describes how Soros has admitted to having "carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble."
Be that as it may. After WWII, Soros attended the London School of Economics, where he fell under the thrall of fellow atheist and Hungarian, Karl Popper, one of his professors. Popper was a mentor to Soros until Popper's death in 1994. Two of Popper's most influential teachings concerned "the open society," and Fallibilism.
Fallibilism is the philosophical doctrine that all claims of knowledge could, in principle, be mistaken. (Then again, I could be wrong about that.)
The "open society" basically refers to a "test and evaluate" approach to social engineering. Regarding "open society" Roy Childs writes, "Since the Second World War, most of the Western democracies have followed Popper's advice about piecemeal social engineering and democratic social reform, and it has gotten them into a grand mess."
In 1956 Soros moved to New York City , where he worked on Wall Street, and started amassing his fortune. He specialized in hedge funds and currency speculation.
Soros is absolutely ruthless, amoral, and clever in his business dealings, and quickly made his fortune. By the 1980s he was well on his way to becoming the global powerhouse that he is today. In an article Kyle-Anne Shiver wrote for "The American Thinker" she says, "Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets, and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England . He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically, almost overnight."
In 1994 Soros crowed in "The New Republic " that "the former Soviet Empire is now called the Soros Empire." The Russia-gate scandal in 1999, which almost collapsed the Russian economy, was labeled by Rep. Jim Leach, then head of the House Banking Committee, to be "one of the greatest social robberies in human history." The "Soros Empire" indeed.
In 1997 Soros almost destroyed the economies of Thailand and Malaysia . At the time, Malaysia 's Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad, called Soros "a villain, and a moron." Thai activist Weng Tojirakarn said, "We regard George Soros as a kind of Dracula. He sucks the blood from the people."
The website Greek National Pride reports, "[Soros] was part of the full court press that dismantled Yugoslavia and caused trouble in Georgia , Ukraine and Myanmar [ Burma ]. Calling himself a philanthropist, Soros' role is to tighten the ideological stranglehold of globalization and the New World Order while promoting his own financial gain. He is without conscience; a capitalist who functions with absolute amorality."France has upheld an earlier conviction against Soros, for felony insider trading. Soros was fined 2.9 million dollars.
Recently, his native Hungary fined Soros 2.2 million dollars for "illegal market manipulation." Elizabeth Crum writes that "The Hungarian economy has been in a state of transition as the country seeks to become more financially stable and westernized. [Soros'] deliberately driving down the share price of its largest bank put Hungary's economy into a wicked tailspin, one from which it is still trying to recover.
My point here is that Soros is a planetary parasite. His grasp, greed, and gluttony have a global reach.
But what about America ? Soros told Australia 's national newspaper "The Australian" " America , as the centre of the globalised financial markets, was sucking up the savings of the world. This is now over. The game is out," he said, adding that the time has come for "a very serious adjustment" in American's consumption habits. He implied that he was the one with the power to bring this about."
Soros: "World financial crisis was "stimulating" and "in a way, the culmination of my life's work."
Obama has recently promised 10 billion of our tax dollars to Brazil, in order to give them a leg-up in expanding their offshore oil fields. Obama's largesse towards Brazil, came shortly after his political financial backer, George Soros, invested heavily in Brazilian oil (Petrobras).
Tait Trussel writes, "The Petrobras loan may be a windfall for Soros and Brazil , but it is a bad deal for the U.S. The American Petroleum Institute estimates that oil exploration in the U.S. could create 160,000 new, well-paying jobs, as well as $1.7 trillion in revenues to federal, state, and local governments, all while fostering greater energy security and independence."
A blog you might want to keep an eye on is SorosWatch.com. Their mission: "This blog is dedicated to all who have suffered due to the ruthless financial pursuits of George Soros. Your stories are many and varied, but the theme is the same: the destructive power of greed without conscience. We pledge to tirelessly watch Soros wherever he goes and to print the truth in the hope that he will one day be made to stop preying upon the world's poor, that justice will be served."
Back to America . Soros has been actively working to destroy America from the inside out for some years now. People have been warning us. Two years ago news sources reported that "Soros [is] an extremist who wants open borders, a one-world foreign policy, legalized drugs, euthanasia, and on and on. This is off-the-chart dangerous."
In 1997 Rachel Ehrenfeld wrote, "Soros uses his philanthropy to change or more accurately deconstruct the moral values and attitudes of the Western world, and particularly of the American people. His "open society" is not about freedom; it is about license. His vision rejects the notion of ordered liberty, in favor of a PROGRESSIVE ideology of rights and entitlements."
Perhaps the most important of these "whistle blowers" are David Horowitz and Richard Poe. Their book "The Shadow Party" outlines in detail how Soros hijacked the Democratic Party, and now owns it lock, stock, and barrel. Soros has been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for years.
The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government, which became the Obama Administration.
DiscoverTheNetworks.org (another good source) writes, "By his [Soros'] own admission, he helped engineer coups in Slovakia , Croatia , Georgia , and Yugoslavia . When Soros targets a country for "regime change," he begins by creating a shadow government, a fully formed government-in-exile, ready to assume power when the opportunity arises. The Shadow Party he has built in America greatly resembles those he has created in other countries prior to instigating a coup.November 2008 edition of the German magazine "Der Spiegel," in which Soros gives his opinion on what the next POTUS (President of the U.S. ) should do after taking office. "I think we need a large stimulus package." Soros thought that around 600 billion would be about right.
Soros also said that "I think Obama presents us a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U.S. needs a cap and trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights.Although Soros doesn't (yet) own the Republican Party, like he does the Democrats, make no mistake, his tentacles are spread throughout the Republican Party as well.
Soros is a partner in the Carlyle Group where he has invested more than 100 million dollars. According to an article by "The Baltimore Chronicle's" Alice Cherbonnier, the Carlye Group is run by "a veritable who's who of former Republican leaders," from CIA man Frank Carlucci, to CIA head [and ex-President] George Bush, Sr.
In late 2006, Soros bought about 2 million shares of Halliburton, Dick Cheney's old stomping grounds.
When the Democrats and Republicans held their conventions in 2000, Soros held Shadow Party conventions in the same cities, at the same time.
In 2008, Soros donated $5,000,000,000 to the Democratic National Committee, DNC, to insure Obama's win and wins for many other Alinsky trained Radical Rules Anti-American Socialist. George has been contributing a $ billion plus to the DNC since Clinton came on the scene.
Soros has dirtied both sides of the aisle, trust me. And if that weren't bad enough, he has long held connections with the CIA.
And I mustn't forget to mention Soros' involvement with the MSM (Main Stream Media), the entertainment industry (e.g. he owns 2.6 million shares of Time Warner), and the various political advertising organizations he funnels millions to. In short, George Soros controls or influence most of the MSM. Little wonder they ignore the TEA PARTY, Soro's NEMESIS.
As Matthew Vadum writes, "The liberal billionaire-turned-philanthropist has been buying up media properties for years in order to drive home his message to the American public that they are too materialistic, too wasteful, too selfish, and too stupid to decide for themselves how to run their own lives."
Richard Poe writes, "Soros' private philanthropy, totaling nearly $5 billion, continues undermining America 's traditional Western values. His giving has provided funding of abortion rights, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, euthanasia, feminism, gun control, globalization, mass immigration, gay marriage and other radical experiments in social engineering."
Some of the many NGOs (None Government Organizations) that Soros funds with his billions are: MoveOn.org, the Apollo Alliance , Media Matters for America , the Tides Foundation, the ACLU, ACORN, PDIA (Project on Death In America ), La Raza, and many more. For a more complete list, with brief descriptions of the NGOs, go to DiscoverTheNetworks.org.
Poe continues, "Through his global web of Open Society Institutes and Open Society Foundations, Soros has spent 25 years recruiting, training, indoctrinating and installing a network of loyal operatives in 50 countries, placing them in positions of influence and power in media, government, finance and academia."
Without Soro's money, would the Saul Alinsky's Chicago machine still be rolling? Would SEIU, ACORN, and La Raza still be pursuing their nefarious activities? Would Big Money and lobbyists still be corrupting government? Would our college campuses still be retirement homes for 1960s radicals?
America stands at the brink of an abyss, and that fact is directly attributable to Soros. Soros has vigorously, cleverly, and insidiously planned the ruination of America and his puppet, Barak Obama is leading the way....

Holder Balks at Blaming Radical Islam for Terror By: Stephen Dinan
Despite crediting the Pakistani Taliban with fostering the recent failed car bombing in Times Square, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. was reluctant Thursday to say radical Islam was part of the cause of that and other recent attacks.
Mr. Holder, testifying to the House Judiciary Committee, repeatedly balked at a half-dozen questions from Rep. Lamar Smith, the ranking Republican on the committee, about whether "radical Islam" was behind the attempted car bombing, last year's so-called "underpants bomber" or the killings at Fort Hood in Texas.
"There are a variety of reasons why people do these things. Some of them are potentially religious," Mr. Holder told the committee Thursday, though he would not go further than saying people who hold radical views may have "had an ability to have an impact" on Faisal Shahzad, the man the Justice Department says tried to detonate a car bomb in Times Square...****If you don't know who the enemy is, you can't do very much to stop him. On the other hand, if you don't want to stop him, preferring to maintain the fiction that a preferred group ( Islamists ) is innocent of evil-doing, then you must deny the correlation of terrorism with Islamic Jihadism. Either way, Obama and Holder will not protect the U.S. (and certainly not our erstwhile allies --who had better look to other resources to protect themselves since they can't count on the U.S.)****

Schumer pushes to name Pakistani Taliban as terrorist--What ? You mean it isn't?

Shocked Oliver North
WASHINGTON -- ...national security adviser Gen. James Jones warned that we would feel "a certain shock" at revelations in a White House report on what the Obama administration is calling the "failed Christmas terrorist attack." He was referring to the breakdowns that allowed a 23-year-old Nigerian-born, al-Qaida-trained suicide terrorist to nearly bring down Northwest Airlines Flight 253 over Detroit. But the stunning information isn't learning "what did we know and when did we know it" leading up to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's attempt to detonate a bomb concealed in his underwear. The greatest cause for alarm is in what has happened since....provided additional details on what went wrong and the "reforms and corrective steps" needed to prevent a recurrence. Though the so-called mainstream media showered the presentations with accolades, little of what was said Thursday was reassuring. Some of it was downright disingenuous....It is difficult, if not impossible, for analysts to "connect the dots" when they are being warned not to "jump to conclusions," as Mr. Obama cautioned following Maj. Nidal Hasan's Nov. 5 attack at Fort Hood, in which 13 people were killed. In a remarkably deceptive omission, the president never even mentioned this travesty....Yet he never has provided relevant committees of Congress the reports they requested on the Fort Hood massacre, the status of five American college students now detained in Pakistan or information on radical Imam Anwar al-Awlaki, who fled to Yemen from the U.S....Regrettably, he did not acknowledge his efforts to seek "new beginnings with Muslim communities around the world, one in which we engage on the basis of mutual interest and mutual respect," and his global grand apology tour for America's "past mistakes" has been rebuffed by "our adversaries."...he says, "We are at war against al-Qaida, a far-reaching network of violence and hatred that attacked us on 9/11, that killed nearly 3,000 innocent people, and that is plotting to strike us again. And we will do whatever it takes to defeat them." This assessment is misleading, is far too narrow and ignores who "our adversary" really is. Radical Islamists intent on blowing themselves and others to pieces on the ground in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Madrid, Bali, Amman and London or in the air over our cities are not part of an al-Qaida "network." T...Directing the intelligence community to construct "wire diagrams" of al-Qaida cells in a dozen or more countries won't make us any safer. Young men like Hasan and Abdulmutallab are under the influence of an ideology based on vicious hatred of all institutions and people not sufficiently Islamic. They will not be placated by promises of "understanding" and "respect." They and their ilk won't be deterred by our shipping detainees from Guantanamo to Illinois or trying them in civil courts instead of treating them as enemy combatants. The Obama administration does not seem to understand this yet. That's the real shock.

Overwhelming majority of Arabs reject even the idea of a Jewish state.

Accepting Israel as the Jewish State
(National Review) Daniel Pipes - Arab-Israeli diplomacy has dealt with a myriad of subsidiary issues while tiptoeing around the conflict's central issue: "Should there be a Jewish state?" Disagreement over the answer to that question - rather than over Israel's boundaries, its exercise of self-defense, its control of the Temple Mount, its water consumption, its housing construction in West Bank towns, diplomatic relations with Egypt, or the existence of a Palestinian state - is the key issue. Among the Palestinian and the broader Arab and Muslim publics, polls suggest a long-term average of 20% acceptance of Israel, whether in the Mandatory period or now. The Middle East Forum commissioned Pechter Middle East Polls to ask a thousand adults in each of four countries: "Under the right circumstances, would you accept a Jewish state of Israel?" The results: 26% of Egyptians and 9% of urban Saudis answered "yes," as did 9% of Jordanians and 5% of Lebanese. For 10 years Israel has been paying the price for the withdrawal from Lebanon. And yet even now, the Israeli press is still presenting the event as an act of strategic genius and political courage.
A few weeks shy of the 10th anniversary of Israel’s May 24, 2000 unilateral withdrawal from south Lebanon, last Friday Yediot Aharonot chose to devote its weekend news supplement to a retrospective on the event. It included a fawning five-page interview with Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who ordered the withdrawal during his tenure as prime minister and defense minister...

The PLO Never Authorized Abbas to Conduct Proximity Talks - Pinchas Inbari (Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs-Hebrew)
The Arab daily Al-Quds al-Arabi reported that the PLO Executive Committee meeting on Saturday to approve the proximity talks with Israel never succeeded in achieving a minimum quorum. To present the appearance of a decision, Mahmoud Abbas added members of the Fatah Executive Committee to the meeting. Fatah official Nabil Abro confirmed that there was no quorum at the PLO meeting, and that its decision had no legal standing.
Though no one asked him, Abbas decided to gain approval for the talks from the Arab League and the PLO institutions. The problem is with the PA's system of "pretending" with regard to decisions. At the moment of truth, when Abbas needs to bring any peace agreement with Israel to the PLO institutions, he won't have a majority and will have to pretend.****Negotiations 101 says that you can't negotiate with anyone who doesn't have the power to negotiate with you.Note below that FATAH, not even Hamas, has never acknowledged Israel's right to EXIST.****

U.S. Support for Israel's Nuke Policy Eroding - Herb Keinon
Cracks are appearing in the nearly half-century U.S. policy of upholding Israel's right to maintain its "nuclear ambiguity," as Israeli nuclear capabilities are, for the first time, scheduled to be on the IAEA agenda. One diplomatic official said that the U.S. has relayed messages to Israel that it will not let its nuclear position be harmed, but in the past the U.S. killed such discussions in international forums, while this time it failed to do so.
Emily Landau, a senior research fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University and director of its arms control and regional security program, said the U.S. was not assuming its role as the shield of Israel's nuclear capabilities to the degree it had in the past. Obama, according to Landau, has embraced the agenda of nuclear disarmament, as well as the norm of "equality" that is embedded in the NPT, meaning that all countries should be treated equally on the nuclear issue. IAEA Chief Focuses on Israel
(AP-Washington Post) George Jahn - International Atomic Energy Agency chief Yukiya Amano sent a letter soliciting proposals from the agency's 151 member states on how to persuade Israel to sign the Nonproliferation Treaty, in a move that adds to pressure on the Jewish state to disclose its unacknowledged nuclear arsenal. Israel, in turn, is suggesting efforts should focus instead on giving teeth to the nuclear treaty to prevent signatories like Iran from acquiring such weapons. In his letter, Amano asked foreign ministers to share views on how to implement a resolution demanding that Israel "accede" to the Nonproliferation Treaty and throw its nuclear facilities open to IAEA oversight. In response Thursday, an Israeli government official noted that the treaty obligating nations to stop the spread of nuclear weapons didn't stop countries like Saddam Hussein's Iraq and now Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons programs.

U.S. Waiting to Offer Its Own Peace Plan - Shimon Shiffer (Yediot Ahronot-Hebrew, 6 May 2010)
Those who were exposed to the recent talks held by Minister of Defense Ehud Barak in Washington gained the impression that with the Palestinian-Israeli proximity talks, the Obama administration doesn't intend to enter empty discussions.
In a few months, Obama and his closest advisers intend to put a plan on the table whose basics will be an Israeli return to the '67 lines, with small border modifications, and a declaration of east Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital.
Each side will have to answer whether it accepts the American proposal. ****Of course the Palestinians will accept ( they get a lot without giving up anything and are embarked on their mission to extirpate Israel) and the Israelis will reject ( because they would give up a lot and get nothing except a slippery slope to oblivion.)
There is no longer even a pretense at solving problems. Originally, the problem was bringing permanent peace to the Mideast and the "idea" of a "two-state-SOLUTION" was a possible means to that end.(That's when "solution" was appended to the idea.) Now it has been transmogrified into the end in itself, and an end that will mean the death of peace since it would establish a terrorist state still with the goal of exterminating its neighbor.
What makes sense about that? There will be peace only three generations after the Arabs and Muslims stop teaching their children to hate Jews and Israel. So far, they haven't started to stop.
Obama's penchant for acting on his bias is predicted on his ignorance of history: in his simplistic reading of the Holocaust, he believes the Jews of Israel will meekly accept their fate of moving toward annihilation ( while abandoning any nuclear weapons of their own along the way.) He will, instead, create a nuclear Armageddon because they will not go along with his biased and ignorant view. It's ironic, that Israel may yet save Western Civilization from the scourge of Islamic Jihad albeit at the expense of its own existence. All because of an American President who is both malevolent and naive and an American electorate that made its greatest mistake in history.****

Obama isn't completely stupid, of course, so he wants to disarm Israel lest he be wrong about her willingness to invoke The Samson Doctrine.
Big Powers Back Mideast Nuclear Arms Ban
(Reuters) The U.S., Russia, Britain, France and China voiced support on Wednesday for making the Middle East a nuclear-weapons-free zone, which would ultimately force Israel to scrap any atomic arms it has. The move reflected U.S. concern to win Arab backing for sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program by offering a concession over its ally Israel. Israel has said it can only consider creating such a zone in the future once there is Middle East peace. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Monday the time was not yet ripe for creating the zone.

Dick Morris assesses the week giving Obama too many points.

WHAT MOTIVATES OBAMA: LEFTIST TURNOUT By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN=
Why is Obama vilifying FOX News? Why does Harry Reid push an immigration bill he knows can't pass? Why won't Schumer compromise on regulatory reform and why does he try to hang Goldman Sachs around the GOP? Why did Bill Clinton blame conservatives who oppose big government for the Oklahoma City bombing? ****This one depends on bad memory: Tim McVeigh was motivated by the Waco fiasco, due to Clinton and Janet Reno. Slick Willy should keep his mouth shut just as Chris Matthews should shut up about Ted Kennedy and conveniently forget all about Chappaquiddick. These guys think they can lie a week after something happens because everyone has Alzheimer's, in their view.**** All share one motivation: To increase their base's turnout in the off year elections of 2010. Going after FOX News stimulates a feeling of victimization on the left. The immigration bill and the new Arizona law catalyzes a Latino turnout. Goldman Sachs enrages liberal anti-Wall Street populists. By characterizing the Tea Party activists as dangerous, liberals are aroused to vote in November.
There are two way to win any election: energize the base or appeal to the center. Obama is, predictably, choosing the former, deliberately pushing policies that drive Independents into Republican arms as the price for generating passion on the part of his supporters.
Turnout in presidential year elections averages about 20 points higher than in off-year legislative races. Normally, the decrease in turnout is primarily among the least educated voters -- African-Americans and Latino-Americans -- and among young voters. These groups are, of course, precisely those that rallied to back Obama and put him over the top in 2008. A falloff in their turnout would be fatal to Obama's hopes of continuing Democratic control of Congress.
So Obama is doing all he can to generate a turnout, even going to the lengths of fostering racial tensions over immigration to energize his base.
Ultimately, the two events of this past week -- the oil spill and the Times Square terror attack -- will work in opposite political directions. While Obama may lose the day to day effort to convince us that he acted in a timely way to contain the spill, the more damage the oil does, the more environmentalists will be activated and fears of off shore drilling will be stoked. Advantage: Obama.****I'm not sure I buy this. The Obama administration was very late in getting engaged on this ( a 2004 study questioned whether the safety systems were adequate; BP got a waiver from some regs in April 2010; the Nap/Salazar bleatins about "...Day One" were laughable ( see Youtube) and pointed up the fact that they were nowhere near engaged Day One. There was a government-approved plan to deploy ships and get any oil slick "fire-boomed" and burned ( volatilizing the lighter components and letting the heavier ones drop to the sea bottom ) and there were no ships deployed nor were there any "fire-booms" available. Napolitano is a total joke involving anything concerned with her job title and she even looks vacuous as she spouts nonsense. She can't be doing Obama any good whenever she appears in public.****
And the reverse is true of the Times Square attack. While Attorney General Eric Holder and the Homeland Security folks may win the day to day coverage of how they located and arrested the terror suspect, pulling him off a plane on the runway at JFK, the entire episode will raise fears of terrorism. ****this is even worse than Morris is saying. The whole episode smacks of the Keystone Cops. State allowed this guy to get citizenship when there was fraudulent marriage to an American involved, they abandoned the special vetting of people coming from 14 Muslim countries, the FBI lost him from surveillance after the NYPD had id'd who he was and didn't catch up with him until he was sitting on the plane at JFK ( where Emirate Airlines had allowed him to board despite his having been added to the "no-fly" list.) Luck upon luck is the only way tragedy was averted and this guy apprehended and then Holder reads him Miranda rights. *****Voters will ask why we have had three attempted attacks on US soil since Obama took office (Ft. Hood, Detroit airplane, and Times Square) while we had none in the seven years of Bush after 9/11. Advantage: Republicans.
The more either story has legs, the more the spill spreads and the more terror fears escalate, the more the respective political parties will benefit.****The bogus immigration issue ( why do we need COMPREHENSIVE immigration reform to seal the borders? )is the only one that will resonate because it uses lies and appeals to base instincts. ****

Steny Hoyer Gives the Democrats a Headache
Posted by Erick Erickso,
Steny Hoyer is causing a conversation he does not want to really have. In trying to turn up the political rhetoric on terrorism, Hoyer, the House Majority Leader, said, ““We’re tough on terrorists, that’s our policy, that’s our performance and in fact we’ve been more successful.”
Really?
Let’s look at the headlines.
First this:Faisal Shahzad was allegedly able to train with terrorists in Pakistan, return to the United States to assemble a car bomb in Connecticut and park it in Times Square without anyone in the nation’s vast counterterrorism apparatus knowing anything about it.
Then this: The no-fly list failed to keep the Times Square suspect off the plane. Faisal Shahzad had boarded a jetliner bound for the United Arab Emirates Monday night before federal authorities pulled him back.
Then consider this.Janet Napolitano twice suggested that the attempted attack in Times Square was a “one-off” event.
As many as eight other individuals have been arrested, including several in Pakistan.//
Within hours of the shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, with the base still on lockdown, an FBI official told Fox News a link to terrorism “was not being discussed.” When reports surfaced that the shooter, Nidal Malik Hasan, had been in contact with al Qaeda recruiter Anwar al Awlaki, the FBI claimed that email traffic between the two was “benign.” When media outlets printed excerpts of those emails that were anything but benign, the FBI claimed that they were consistent with Hasan’s research.****The "report" doesn't even mention radical Islam and Senators Lieberman and XX have to subpoena the Pentagon to get details.Obama restricts his definition of "enemy" to "Al Qaeda" (it's hard to explain away 9/11! ) so it is unclear if he even considers Hasan ( who screamed "allahu Akbar" before opening fire )part of Islamic jihad terrorism. Actually, it is clear ---he tries to pretend NOT. ****//
Six weeks later, Obama administration and law enforcement officials followed the same playbook with Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. Napolitano and White House press secretary Robert Gibbs first tried to claim that “the system worked” in stopping Abdulmutallab. Three days after the attack, President Obama called Abdulmutallab “an isolated extremist,” despite the fact that the bomber had acknowledged in interviews with FBI agents that he had trained with al Qaeda in Yemen.

Why does the Obama administration — and its allies on the left — go to such lengths to portray these kinds of attacks as the work of isolated extremists? ****Because they're apologists for Radical Islam? **** Does Steny Hoyer really want to go there?

On Hardball: Worried Next Terror Attack Could Strengthen Tea Party Chris Matthews, on Tuesday's Hardball, brought on two former CIA officials to discuss the latest terror attack, and the MSNBC host agreed with Tyler Drumheller that the most recent attacker was motivated by his house being foreclosed on and also agreed with Robert Baer who feared another attack could lead to "the Tea Party being strengthened," which could lead to "people blaming the White House for a situation it didn't create." Baer also hit Matthews' sweet spot of talking points when he went on to warn that the last successful terror attack "got us into a war in Iraq we didn't need to be in." ****A much more recent "successful terror attack" was Muslim Maj Hasan Nidal at Ft Hood. But then these idiots have selective memories. On the ultra-liberal Bill Maher show this week, Matthews professed not to know that Ted Kennedy had done anything wrong at Chappaquiddick prompting even Bill to think Chris had a screw loose.(Chris who gets a "thrill up his leg" when Obama speaks.)****
MSNBC's Ratigan Worries About 'Racism' Toward Muslims After NYC Bomb Attempt Near the top of Tuesday's Dylan Ratigan Show on MSNBC, host Dylan Ratigan fretted over American Muslims being harassed in the wake of the failed Times Square bombing: "how do you deal with these types of crimes without resulting in racism, effectively, towards people of Pakistani or Middle Eastern descent?...is there not a natural backlash to this?"
Misleading NYT Poll Doesn't Stop People from Favoring AZ Immigration Law The New York Times initially spun a 60%-36% pro-enforcement gap as a "slim margin." And the law doesn't give "police the power to question anyone they suspect is in the country illegally,” as the misleading poll question claims, but requires reasonable suspicion of such by a policeman, coupled with a “lawful stop, detention or arrest.”
Lib Reporters Reminisce About Kent State on Chris Matthews Show
Tuesday marks the 40th anniversary of the Kent State shootings, and over the weekend Chris Matthews and his liberal cronies, on his syndicated The Chris Matthews Show, previewed the event as they reminisced about where they were at the time. Their memories reflect how anti-war they were back then and how that moment shaped them into the libs they are today as Matthews revealed the likes of his guests, like Newsweek's Howard Fineman and CNN's Gloria Borger, as students, were "editorializing against the war." ****Ah, the good old days when there were "stimulating" atrocities! Nowadays, atrocities seem to play to the wrong tune.( Perhaps the near-century-old "backlash" against the much-maligned Nazis should be revisited and reversed.) Just as it must be realized that "even paranoids sometimes have real enemies", so too is much "profiling" merely elementary PATTERN RECOGNITION.****//
We May Have a Clue from Jas Taranto
Although a suspect, Faisal Shahzad, is in custody in Saturday's attempted car bombing in midtown Manhattan, the Associated Press reports the case is still shrouded in mystery: "Authorities said they had shed little light on what might have motivated him."
Hmm, this is a head-scratcher all right. One possible clue appears in another AP dispatch: Shahzad's behavior sometimes seemed odd to his neighbors, and he surprised a real estate broker he hardly knew with his outspokenness about President George W. Bush and the Iraq war.
"He mentioned that he didn't like Bush policies in Iraq," said Igor Djuric, who represented Shahzad in 2004 when he was buying a home.
Djuric said he couldn't remember the exact words Shahzad used about Bush but "something to the effect of he doesn't know what he's doing and it's the wrong thing that he's doing." "I don't know if he mentioned 9/11," Djuric said, "but something like that, Iraq has nothing to do with anything."//
As we noted Monday, President Obama warned just hours before the bomb attempt that, as yet another AP dispatch put it, "partisan rants and name-calling under the guise of legitimate discourse pose a serious danger to America's democracy, and may incite 'extreme elements' to violence."
It may be Shahzad was influenced by partisan rants such as Michael Moore's film "Fahrenheit 9/11" or a speech on Iraq by a certain Illinois state senator:
What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other arm-chair, weekend warriors in this Administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne.
What I am opposed to is the attempt by political hacks like Karl Rove to distract us from a rise in the uninsured, a rise in the poverty rate, a drop in the median income--to distract us from corporate scandals and a stock market that has just gone through the worst month since the Great Depression.
That's what I'm opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics.

The AP also notes that investigators say Shahzad "traveled to the lawless Waziristan region" of his native Pakistan, where he "learned bomb making at a terrorist training camp." It has been our observation that there is at least a correlation between terrorism emanating from that part of the world and extreme religious views. The authorities may want to look into the possibility of some sort of theological motivation.****C'mon, the Obamaian sayings and policies are becoming absurd in their frantic effort to ignore the correlation of Radical Jihad/ Radical Islam/ Islam with terror attacks on Western Civilization. ****

White House in P.R. 'panic' over spill
By GLENN THRUSH & MIKE ALLEN //POLITICO
The ferocious oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico is threatening President Barack Obama’s reputation for competence, just as surely as it endangers the Gulf ecosystem...***What reputation for competence? He has only a reputation for impugning the competence of the Bush administration. The Obama administration was inert for the early days of the spill despite their EX POST FACTO pitiful efforts to claim that they were "there from Day One."

Surprise! Arrest in NY bombing plot is of naturalized citizen of Pakistani descent

who recently made a trip to Pakistan. He was arrested on his way out at JFK International airport. The amateurish nature of the bomb is not uncharacteristic of international jihadists: car bombs ascribed to Al Qaeda were defused at London night clubs without explosion.(The only slight doubt that it was part of the international jihad was due to the fact that it wasn't a SUICIDE operation; while most bomb plots are due to international jihad, pretty much all suicide bombings are Islamist in origin.) While the international jihad is broad in its motivation ( even of U.S. nationals ), it is less adept when it comes to technical execution.
http://tinyurl.com/2apnukz... Faisal Shahzad was on board a Dubai-bound flight that was taxiing away from the gate at Kennedy Airport when the plane was stopped and FBI agents and New York Police Department detectives took him into custody late Monday, law enforcement officials said.****Had he not tried to leave from JFK,and to Dubai yet, he might not have been identified so quickly. Jihadists might be malevolent but are not necessarily smart.(The smarter ones DISPATCH bombers; they don't often indulge themselves.)****... U.S. authorities "will not rest until we have brought everyone responsible to justice," Attorney General Eric Holder said early Tuesday, suggesting additional suspects are being sought.****Holder for sure plans to charge him with parking violations and leaving the scene of an accident**** In Pakistan, intelligence officials said at least one man has been detained in the southern city of Karachi in connection with the Times Square case: a man named Tauseef who was a friend of Shahzad..."As Americans and as a nation, we will not be terrorized. We will not cower in fear. We will not be intimidated," Obama said.****"Hell, as Islamophiles, we won't even pay much attention to this kind of stuff!"""Shahzad became a naturalized U.S. citizen last year shortly before traveling to Pakistan,...****With the enormous backlog of citizenship applications (actually explaining some of the long-term illegal Mexican residents), what kind of fast track did this guy get? Why was someone with a wife in Pakistan not given a bit more scrutiny before citizenship was granted? Did he decide to become a bomber only after becoming a citizen or is it more likely that he was a jihadist before so that the "Arizona law" might be useful for more than limiting the number of illegals from south of the border.****... Shahzad has been answering questions for investigators, the official said, declining to say what information was provided. It's unclear if those conversations will continue.****Is he being interrogated as an enemy combatant or as a domestic lawbreaker? Has he yet been read his Miranda rights? That's why it's "unclear."****... Shahzad was being held in New York and couldn't be contacted. A phone number at a listed address for Shahzad in Shelton, Conn., wasn't in service.****The Taliban have complained that he's incommunicado but the State Department has promised to inquire.****... Holder urged Americans should remain vigilant.****No-one can say Eric isn't on the job. And Napolitano "thought" on Sunday that there was "potential" for terrorism here. Ya think? ****
... Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the arrest should not be as used as an excuse for anti-Muslim actions. "We will not tolerate any bias or backlash against Pakistani or Muslim New Yorkers," he said. ****Now, no-one can blame Mayor-of-NY-Bloomberg for this caution but how about Muslims or Pakististanis in Connecticut or Pennsylvania?**** ... Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik told the AP that authorities had not been formally asked for help in the investigation but would cooperate if asked.****It's good that Obama has zeroed in on who our reliable allies really are ( not the Brits, Hondurans or Israelis, of course.)**** More than a dozen people with U.S. citizenship or residency, like Shahzad, have been accused in the past two years of supporting, attempting or carrying out attacks on U.S. soil, illustrating the threat of violent extremism from within the U.S. Among them are Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, a U.S.-born Army psychiatrist of Palestinian descent, charged with fatally shooting 13 people last year at Fort Hood, Texas; Najibullah Zazi, a Denver-area airport shuttle driver who pleaded guilty in February in a plot to bomb New York subways; and a Pennsylvania woman who authorities say became radicalized online as "Jihad Jane" and plotted to kill a Swedish artist whose work offended Muslims. ****Er, has anyone noticed what is perhaps a common thread in these cases, even though it's not mentioned in this report? Not too many in Obama's administration or among others of the politically-correct.****
Surprise! Times Sq Bomb Suspect a Muslim
Thomas Lifson The American left must be disappointed this morning to learn that the suspect in the failed Times Square bombing is not the longed-for "Caucasian male" right wing extremist. Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized American citizen of Pakistani origin, most likely has never attended a tea party, and so far as we know is not on record opposing ObamaCare. Mr. Shahzad did, however, recently spend some months in his native Pakistan. A thirty year-old, he reportedly owns homes in Shelton and Bridgeport, Connecticut, largely working class communities in the wealthiest state in the union. A man of property, able to travel the world - he and two others were pulled off an Emirates Airlines plane bound for Dubai last night at JFK airport.
Obviously, as a citizen, Shahzad will receive his full due process rights. How did this man gain citizenship? Given the volume of immigration from Muslim-majority nations, perhaps it is time to revisit these regulations, with a view to the very real threat from those who are orthodox Muslims living out their obligation to wage jihad against the infidels.
Update: It is being reported that Shahzad was in foreclosure proceedings on at least one of his houses. His access to cash to buy the SUV, buy the supplies, and buy a last minute airline ticket to Dubai [full fare] all strongly suggest he was being financed by a terror group.****Amazingly, the left-media are awash with speculations as to his "motive." It must be financial reverses that made him crazy...sure. What is clear is that whatever his motive, it had to be one or more of the following:
He was bribed by Pakistani Taliban ( somewhat plausible since he didn't want to martyr himself ); he was threatened by Pakistani Taliban ( possible since his family was in Pakistan but why did he send them to Pakistan in the first place? ); he genuinely believes in Islamic Jihad ( to the point of killing infidels but not to the point of getting himself killed. )****

Teddy Roosevelt defined "immigrant" perfectly.

http://tinyurl.com/2f4bren
Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.
'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag.. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

Obama Inexplicably Delays Federal Spill Response Then Bans Future Drilling

Delay Will Cause Major Environmental Damage, Administration Engaged in Their Own Damage Control 010/04/30/
href="http://tinyurl.com/2811x2a"
In a calculated political gamble designed to take maximum advantage of a crisis, Barack Obama ensured the worst environmental disaster on US territory since the Exxon Valdez. When the TransOcean rig caught fire on 20 April and exploded three hours later, the Obama Administration should have been in response mode. Instead, it wasn’t until 30 April that anyone arrived in Southern Louisiana and then it was only because the political gamble threatened a lot more coastline than originally thought. The second phase of the political gamble has already begun, ABC News devoted a whole four pages to the story ripe with brow furrowed concern and the beginnings of the blame game. But no where in the four page story does it mention the reason for the week delay in responding. By failing to respond in a timely manner, Barack Obama has ensured the worst environmental disaster in the lower 48 since “Webster” first aired on TV.
