Er, what happens when you blow kisses at asses moving in different directions?

"Obama said he would tell King Abdullah his country did not plan to eliminate its need for oil imports any time soon." ****Doesn't this need to reassure oil PRODUCERS conflict with what BO has been telling everyone here? Conundrum? Resolution: he tells the King the truth, that his domestic story about wind/solar is so much hot air. Proof is that nuclear is OK for Iran but not the U.S., that we're not going to allow domestic drilling or shale, and that the "green jobs" aren't real jobs but merely tax-paid sinecures.
From TIME: "Obama appears to believe that many of the world's most intractable problems can be alleviated by better communication and understanding. Similar themes are likely to be echoed in his Cairo speech: a call for dialogue and understanding that flows both ways, and which the Bush Administration, with its tin-eared visions of global transformation, sorely lacked." ****9/11 as a failure of communication? Yoda thought the message from the jihadists was quite clear.Perhaps Obama merely thinks that problems can be muddied up by LESS understanding or at least by miscommunicating actual reality to people.****

By MARK S. SMITH, Associated Press Writer Mark S. Smith, Associated Press Writer –
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – ...President Barack Obama on Wednesday sought the counsel of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and put the finishing touches on a highly anticipated speech about United States' relationship with followers of Islam....Aides say Obama also will acknowledge that the Israeli-Palestinan conflict has been an important source of tension and passion while voicing his views on what all sides need to do to end the standoff.****What would really be different if Israel ceased to exist? Osama didn't even mention Israel as one of his top five gripes when JANE'S discussed Al Qaeda during the summer before 9/11. ****... "The United States and Saudi Arabia have a long history of friendship," Obama said as he visited the monarch's desert horse farm. The U.S. president called Abdullah wise and gracious,...Obama told reporters: "I thought it was very important to come to the place where Islam began and to seek his majesty's counsel and to discuss with him many of the issues that we confront here in the Middle East."...from Arab-Israeli peace efforts to Iran's nuclear program. The surge in oil prices also was on the agenda. And, Obama also was looking for help...on what to do with some 100 Yemeni detainees locked up in the Guantanamo Bay prison...Obama ...has been negotiating with Saudi Arabia and Yemen for months to send them to Saudi terrorist rehabilitation centers.****If it was hilarious when Mel Gibson went to rehab after his anti-Semitic outburst, how much less serious is "terrorist rehab?"****...In Cairo, Obama is set to deliver the speech that he's been promising since last year's election campaign — aiming to set a new tone in America's often-strained dealings with the world's 1.5 billion Muslims....Muslims still smolder over Iraq, Guantanamo and unflinching U.S. support of Israel, but they are hoping the son of a Kenyan Muslim who lived part of his childhood in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country, can help chart a new course....Obama also wouldn't flinch from difficult topics, whether it's the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, the goal of a Palestinian state or democracy and human rights. Obama has been criticized for setting the address in Egypt, where President Hosni Mubarak has jailed dissidents and clung to power for nearly three decades...****Don't forget those who "suggest" that dissidents in Iran and elsewhere might be disheartened by Obama's embrace of their oppressors and Senator Kerry's assurance that the U.S. doesn't seek "regime change" even for regimes barbaric in the extreme. ****
