Subversive Muslim organization meets openly in Chicago

****Hizb Ut-Tahrir is not yet labeled a terrorist organization but openly advocates takeover of America ( and the world ) by Sharia law. It is also against capitalism. It met this weekend at the Hilton Hotel in Oak Park, Illinois. A large banner prominently displayed proclaims "Free speech is an insult to Islam". It uses freedom of speech but doesn't believe in it for others. It claims to be non-violent but uses meetings like this one to recruit Muslims for ...what? **** IPT: Hizb Ut-Tahrir in AmericaUS News | Fri, Jul 17, 2009 The Investigative Project has a report on shadowy Islamic supremacist group Hizb ut-Tahrir and their planned meeting this weekend in Chicago: Hizb Ut-Tahrir In America: Preaching Hate, Building A Caliphate.Hizb ut-Tahrir, (HT) the pro-jihadist organization meeting this weekend in suburban Chicago, has been waging a below-the-radar campaign to recruit Americans for decades. While HT (the “Party of Liberation”) says it is committed to advancing radical Islam by nonviolent means, it advocates violence (see here, here and here) and its prominent alumni include terrorists like Khalid Sheikh Mohammad and Abu Musab Zarqawi along with suicide bombers. The open nature of this weekend’s Khalifa (Caliphate) Conference in Chicago under the Hizb ut-Tahrir banner indicates that the group has decided to enhance its recruiting efforts among U.S. Muslims. Until late last year (when it publicly called on American Muslims to boycott the November election) HT had operated in secret or through front organizations here.****Why do subversive organizations now think it safe to emerge from the shadows? **** http://tinyurl.com/y89qkg Hizb ut-Tahrir (Arabic: حِزْبُ التَحْرِير‎; English: Party of Liberation) is an international pan-Islamist,
Sunni, vanguard[2] political party whose goal is to combine all Muslim countries in a unitary Islamic state or caliphate, ruled by Islamic law and with a caliph head of state elected by Muslims. Taqiuddin al-Nabhani, an Islamic scholar and appeals court judge (Qadi) from Haifa, founded the organization in 1953 in Jerusalem. Since then Hizb ut-Tahrir has spread to more than 40 countries, and by one estimate has about one million members.[1] Hizb ut-Tahrir is very active in the west, particularly in the United Kingdom, and is also active in several Arab and Central Asian countries, despite being banned by most of the local regimes. Hizb ut-Tahrir believes a caliphate "will provide stability and security to all the people of the region, Muslims and Non-Muslims".[5] The party promotes "an elaborate and detailed program for instituting an Islamist state"[6] that will "establish the laws of the Islamic Shariah and to carry the Da'wah of Islam to the world." It believes this "comprehensive solution" will provide "sincere leadership that cares for and protects its citizens from the colonial foreign policies of Bush and Blair" and bring an end to "US interventions, energy inspired wars, puppet (Muslim) governments and western values forced by the barrel of a gun." Hizb ut-Tahrir is strongly anti-Zionist and calls for "the dismantling" of the "illegal entity" of Israel...
