Unbelievable: Carter Now Denies Race Claims
Former President Jimmy Carter insisted Thursday that he never said protests against President Barack Obama were driven by racism. But three weeks ago Carter touched off a huge controversy when he said GOP Rep. Joe Wilson’s“You Lie!” outburst was “based on racism” and that there “is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president.”...“By the way, that’s not what I said,” Carter interjected as he was being asked about the comment. “If you read the remarks carefully, you’ll see that’s not what I said.”... ****Yes it was, as the two video clips demonstrate. Of course he's right about being like Obama but racism isn't involved. They're two peas in a pod except for the difference in skin color which is, therefore, irrelevant. Anyone opposing Obama for the moment thinks Carter was worse...but, then, Carter had four whole years to demonstrate his feckless incompetence and all the years subsequently. Carter may, indeed, hope that Obama will oust him from his position as the worst President in a century (perhaps longer.)It is likely, however, that Carter is as delusional as his comments indicate. For example, he speaks of a "comprehensive energy policy" during his administration.****
