Hasan was/isn't "crazy" as concluded by all the psychiatrists who dealt with him.

Shooting suspect's superiors questioned behavior By BRETT J. BLACKLEDGE and RICHARD LARDNER, Associated PresWASHINGTON – Nidal Malik Hasan's overly zealous religious views and strange behavior worried the doctors overseeing his medical training, but they saw no evidence that he was violent or a threat. Months later, the Army major is accused of a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, that left 13 dead and 29 wounded...
****While absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, and shrinks often miss predicting violence, the more likely conclusion is that Hasan is not mentally ill ( despite the widespread--and politically-correct--assertion that he must be); he is "merely" a murderous Islamist jihadi whose proclivity for anti-Western violence is cultural and ideological rather than psychological.****
Lieberman: Shooter Acted Like 'Terrorist' WASHINGTON — The chairman of the Senate's Homeland Security committee, Joe Lieberman, on Sunday said that the deadly shooting at Texas' Fort Hood military base was an act of "Islamist extremism." Lieberman, a former Democratic vice-presidential candidate, said it was too early to definitively state the motives of Nidal Hasan, who is alleged to have killed 13 and injured 30 on a murderous rampage last week, but said clues pointed to terrorism. "There are very, very strong warning signs here that Dr Hasan had become an Islamist extremist and, therefore, that this was a terrorist act," he told Fox News. "It's clear that he was, one, under personal stress and, two -- if the reports that we're receiving of various statements he made, acts he took are valid -- he had turned to Islamist extremism," he said. "If that is true, the murder of these 13 people was a terrorist act." Lieberman chairs a senate panel that is to probe whether the army missed warning signs that Hasan, a army psychiatrist, may have been preparing an attack.//If sarcastic humor can be tolerated in connection with this atrocity, consider the following:

Muslim Suffers Bruised Ego in Fort Hood Tragedy by Ann Coulter...President Obama honored the victims by immediately warning Americans not to "jump to conclusions" -- namely, the obvious conclusion that the attack was an act of Islamic terrorism. As conclusions go, it wasn't much of a jump. But the mainstream media waited for no information -- indeed actively avoided learning any information -- before leaping to the far less obvious conclusion that the suspect's mass murder was set off by "stress."...The New York Times ran one editorial and two of three op-eds asserting as much...the Times' laughably predictable headlines about the Fort Hood bloodbath were:
-- "Preliminary Inquiry Finds No Link to Terror Plot"
-- "Painful Stories Take a Toll on Military Therapists"
-- "When Soldiers' Minds Snap"...
